Advanced 'artificial limb' centre to come up at Faridabad

The Haryana cabinet on April 11 approved the proposal for the set up of a state-of-the-art rehabilitation centre in Nawada Tigaon district of Faridabad.
A State-of-the-art Rehabilitation Centre for fitment of artificial limbs shall be set up at Nawada Tigaon in district Faridabad. The Haryana Cabinet, which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Manohar Lal on April 11, approved the proposal of the Development and Panchayats Department to give the land of Gram Panchayat Nawada Tigaon on lease to Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India to set up the said Centre.
The land will be given on lease for a period of 33 years at a rate of Rs. 1 per acre per year. The lessee shall not further transfer or sub-lease the land. The trees standing on the proposed land shall continue to vest in the Gram Panchayat and shall be disposed of by the Gram Panchayat in accordance with the provisions of law as per requirement of lessee. The lessee shall put the land to the permitted use within five years from the date of commencement of lease period. However, this period can be extended for another two years in case there is sufficient justification.
