ACB arrests Osmani Medical College doctor and Junior Assistant for taking bribe

The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) have arrested Dr Bhukya Balaji, HOD, General Medicine and Khaja Ahmeduddin, Junior Assistant, Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad for taking bribe from Post Graduate (MD) General Medicine student.
Earlier, a case of criminal misconduct was registered against them in Cr No 11/2019 u/s 7,13(1)(d) r/w 12(2) of P.C. Act, 1988 and 7 (a) of IPC Act (as amended in 2018) respectively at City Range-2, Hyderabad for collecting Rs 1.6 lakh in May, 2018 and Rs 1.5 lakh in March, 2019 from the Post Graduate (MD) General Medicine students as bribe.
The accused officers performed their duties improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage. The Accused Officer Dr Bhukya Balaji, was already arrested in the case on April 5. Another Accused Officer Khaja Ahmeduddin was arrested on April 20 and was being produced before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, here, an ACB statement said.
