The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) has sealed about ten illegal private clinics in Pattan area of this north Kashmir, official sources said.

Meanwhile, police has on August 1 arrested a fake doctor-- Tariq Ahmad Teli-- who was practicing at several places in the valley, including Sopore, Kupwara, Handwara and Bandipora as orthopedic doctor though he was just under matric. Following complaints that majority of the private clinics are run by teachers and hospital staff illegally in Pattan area of Baramulla district, the CMO raided over 20 clinics and later sealed over ten such clinics which were being run illegally. The raids will continue and stern action would be taken against them, the sources said.
