The car accident took place in Bhubaneshwar during the late hours of 14 March claiming the lives of a doctor, pharmacist, and their driver.

In a tragic incident three persons including a doctor and a pharmacist were killed in a road accident near Bandala in Jajpur district late on 14 March. Police said Dr. P K Mohapatra of City Hospital in Cuttack was returning to Cuttack from Bhograi in Balasore district with Pharmacist and owner of a pathology lab after attending a marriage ceremony when the driver lost control over the wheel and hit a truck stranded on the National Highway

The doctor, pharmacist and the driver of the vehicle died on the spot and the car was heavily damaged in the accident. On being informed about the accident, the police reached the spot and sent the bodies for post mortem.The family members of the deceased were informed about the incident.
