As many as 35,000 people have been screened for various ailments by a group of 270 doctors of various specialties at the Mega medical camp organised on Sunday at the Zilla Parishad high school premises under the aegis of local Telugu Desam MLA Varupula Subbarao for the people of Prattipadu constituency .

Minister for civil supplies Prattipati Pullarao has inaugurated the camp while Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Home Nimmakayala Chinarajappa, Legislative council incharge chairman Reddi Subrahmanyam, MP Thota Narasimham, APCOB chairman Pinnamaneni Koteswerarao, Vice chairman Varupula Raja, ZP chairman Jyothula Naveen, MLAs Jyothula Nehru ,Varupula Subbarao MLCs Chikkala Ramachandrarao , Sivakumari attended as the guests of honour. MLA Varupula Subbarao said that free medicines were distributed to all the 35,000 patients and some of them were being referred to government general hospital Kakinada and district hospital Rajahmundry for free surgeries and specialist medical treatment. 

He said doctors of various specialties such as ENT, Urology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Cancer, Pulmonology, Gynecology and General medicine drawn from various government hospitals and corporate hospitals have rendered their services.
