3 held for duping doctors in Jaipur

Three persons have been arrested here for allegedly duping doctors by offering them high returns on their investment in a business, police said July 18.
The three accused, Amit Sharma (42), Ramlakhan Disania and Neha Jain (23) also offered help to the doctors in securing loans at low interest rates if they cited shortage of funds, they said. Disania, himself a doctor, used to contact medical practitioners in the city to convince them to invest in a business involving pharmaceutical, mining and real estate sectors, ADG Anil Paliwal said. He used to lure the doctors by offering up to Rs 1 lakh monthly return on their investment, he said. The accused also offered to facilitate cheap loans for purchasing smart phones and luxury cars, the official said. A case has been registered and an investigation is on, he said.
