Total 108 employees of Himachal Pradesh 108 Ambulance did not turn up for their duty on June 27 also, continuing their strike for increased pay package, on the pattern of Haryana.

President of the Employees Union Puran Chand on June 27 rejected the state government's intervention into enhancement of their wages, saying that they will not join work, till their demands are met. According to Mr Chand, the employees were forced to work without enhancement of the pay structure and did not get a single increment in the last five years. Stressing that anomalies existing in the pay structure of 108 employees should be removed, he said the employees were forced to work for 12 hours, which was against the Labour norms.
