107 NRI medical students' admission cancelled
UNI Nov 30, 2017
The admission of 107 students – who took admission in the MBBS course in 2017-18 academic session under NRI (non-resident Indian) quota fraudulently in Madhya Pradesh – has been cancelled.
Madhya Pradesh Dircetor of Medical Education submitted the information during the hearing of a petition before the High Court on Wednesday. A division bench of Justices R S Jha and Nandita Dubey while expressing dissatisfaction over the examination of admissions carried out during the mock-up round, issued directives to re-examine these admissions.
The next date of hearing has been fixed on December 11. Petitions filed Khandwa-resident Priyanshu Agrawal and four others stated that non-eligible students – who secured less marks and who do not have domicile in the state – had been provided admissions in private medical colleges in violation of rules during the mock-up round.
