Jia Z, et al. - This systematic review was performed to assess the value of yttrium-90 (⁹⁰Y) microspheres in the management of unresectable liver metastases secondary to neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). With an improved survival rate and tumor response, ⁹⁰Y radioembolization could be used as an alternative therapy for unresectable liver metastases of NETs. Furthermore, this treatment was effective for patients who underwent unsuccessful transarterial bland embolization (TABE)/transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) therapy and for the relief of symptoms in patients with carcinoid syndrome.
