Clinical Imaging Sep 24, 2018

Tsai RJ, et al. - In this retrospective review, researchers determined the proportion of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in both symptomatic and asymptomatic young adults by analyzing coronary CT angiography images obtained from April 2015 to July 2017. This investigation was the first to highlight that > 60% of young adults were found to have CVD, with no significant clinical relation to cardiac symptoms. The data presented in this work showed a significant correlation of hypertension and CVD risk score with coronary artery disease in the young adult cohort.
