Kim MJ, et al. - The surgeons illustrated their experience with the gasless transaxillary approach (TAA) in robotic thyroidectomies. They achieved acceptable surgical outcomes with this approach. It was suggested that the rapid evolution of surgical robot technology and the effort to advance robotic thyroidectomy (RT) technique using gasless TAA would reduce the perioperative morbidity and acquire the best possible operative and oncologic outcomes.
