Vaccine Sep 16, 2017
Luz PM, et al. - A cross-sectional study of influenza vaccine uptake was undertaken to explore socio-demographic, economic, and psychological factors that explained vaccine uptake. This study provided evidence that perceived barriers significantly impaired vaccine uptake to the same extent that having the vaccine offered at the workplace or belonging to a group for whom the vaccine was recommended facilitated uptake. It was suggested that a better understanding of drivers of vaccine hesitancy would result in improved interventions to increase vaccine uptake.
