Du L, et al. - Experts sought to scrutinize the within-stool and within-day sample variability of fecal calprotectin (FC) concentrations in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). It was determined that the first sample of the day with the FC positivity cutoff of 250 μg/g displayed the most reliable indication of disease activity, in a single FC sample.
