Bian R, et al. - Researchers investigate the neuromechanism underlying cognitive impairments of asthma. In addition, they ascertain if asthma patients exhibit altered white matter (WM) microstructures, which could contribute to their cognitive impairments. In this work, asthma patients showed multiple cognitive impairments and universally WM integrity disruptions. They identified that executive dysfunction had a close correlation with WM abnormalities.
