Ruangsri S, et al. – This article highlighted the oropharyngeal factors which were significant risk factors for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in Thai patients. In the detection of OSA, dentists might play an important role in patients with high BMI through careful oropharyngeal examination in routine dental treatment. Important anatomical risk factors for OSA were a large torus mandibularis, Mallampati class 4, and a narrow lateral pharyngeal wall.
