Dakkak YJ, et al. - A sum of 123 individuals were retrospectively analyzed to estimate the supplementary utility of MRI of the foot to the hand in undifferentiated arthritis (UA) to prognosticate development of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). They observed 50% of cases with developed RA. Regardless of bone marrow edema (BME) and synovitis, but not independent of C-reactive protein (CRP) and multiple swollen joints, foot tenosynovitis was predictive. They also noticed that independent of BME and synovitis and independent of CRP and swollen joints, hand tenosynovitis was predictive.
