Findings illustrated that moderate pain correlated with frailty in those older than 65 years, but not younger ones among cognitively and functionally sound community-dwelling adults aged ≥50 years. It was determined that pain exerted a direct impact on frailty. Moreover, depression partially mediated the pain–frailty nexus.
