Warfarin resumption following anticoagulant-associated intracranial hemorrhage: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Thrombosis Research | Nov 10, 2017
Chai-Adisaksopha C, et al. - Researchers explored the upshot of warfarin resumption in patients who experienced warfarin-associated intracranial hemorrhage (ICH). The results shed light on the association between warfarin resumption with a substantial reduction in ischemic stroke and venous thromboembolism when compared to no warfarin resumption in patients who experienced warfarin-associated ICH. Despite the data being strongly supportive of restarting anticoagulation, advanced research was warranted in order to ascertain the results due to the high likelihood of bias in the included studies.
