They found that findings supported the theory of ontogenetic cancer fields for vulvar carcinoma, accord with their previous findings in cervical cancer. Also, data suggested the general applicability of the theory. Overall, outcomes in patients with vulvar carcinoma could be improved by applying the concept of cancer field resection.
