Voriconazole exposure and risk of cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma among lung or hematopoietic cell transplant patients: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology Aug 23, 2018
Tang H, et al. - Researchers evaluated the correlation between voriconazole use and risk of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). In individuals with lung transplant or hematopoietic cell transplant, an increased risk of SCC associated with voriconazole was supported in the findings. Especially among individuals at high risk of developing SCC, authors suggested performing routine dermatologic surveillance. Results did not demonstrate an association of voriconazole use with increased risk of basal cell carcinoma.
