Visualization of the macula in gas-filled eyes: Spectral domain optical coherence tomography vs swept-source optical coherence tomography
Retina Mar 09, 2018
Ahn SJ, et al. - Researchers compared the visualization of the macula between spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) and swept-source OCT (SS-OCT) in gas-filled eyes. Data suggested that in order to visualize the macula in gas-filled eyes, SS-OCT performed significantly better than SD-OCT. Better decisions on further treatment during the early postoperative period could be obtained by using SS-OCT, especially for postoperative positioning.
