Visual prognostic factors of epiretinal membrane surgery in patients with pseudophakia
Ophthalmologica Oct 04, 2019
Kim JY, et al. - A retrospective review of individuals with pseudophakic epiretinal membrane (ERM) who underwent vitrectomy was done in order to assess the visual prognostic factors in such patients following vitrectomy using spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT). Forty-three patients with pseudophakic ERM were involved. The visual prognostic factors of ERM surgery without confounding factors were ascertained, including visual acuity improvement after combined cataract surgery. Moreover, inner retinal SD-OCT findings more markedly correlated with the visual prognosis of ERM surgery in comparison with outer retinal SD-OCT findings.
