Aboulela W, et al. - The comparison of efficacy and safety of visual internal urethrotomy (VIU) using holmium laser (Ho:YAG) (group A) vs cold knife (group B) in children with urethral strictures demonstrated higher success rate with laser VIU than cold knife VIU in the management of urethral strictures ≤ 1.5 cm in children with significantly higher Qmax. Furthermore, both were easy to perform, low invasive and safe.
