Costantini R, et al. - Authors here assessed visceral pain as a possible triggering factor for Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) pain and hyperalgesia in comorbid patients. They noticed that visceral pain aggravated FMS symptoms, probably augmenting the level of central sensitization typical of the syndrome. Findings thus suggested including systematic assessment and treatment of visceral pain comorbidities in FMS management strategy.
