de Oliveira PD, et al. - This study was implemented to establish the association of visceral adipose tissue (VAT) and subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) with pulmonary function (PF) measures. In both genders, a consistent inverse association of VAT with forced expiratory volume in the first second (FEV₁) and forced vital capacity (FVC) was reported. In addition, data indicated that SAT demonstrated inconsistent results with PF parameters.
