de Oliveira PD, et al. - This study was implemented to establish the association of visceral adipose tissue (VAT) and subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) with pulmonary function (PF) measures. In both genders, a consistent inverse association of VAT with forced expiratory volume in the first second (FEV1) and forced vital capacity (FVC) was reported. In addition, data indicated that SAT demonstrated inconsistent results with PF parameters.
