American Journal of Preventive Medicine Aug 29, 2018
Sheats K, et al. - In the present study, researchers intended to describe violence-related disparities experienced by young blacks in the U.S. Compared with whites, black adolescents and young adults were at higher risk for the most physically harmful forms of violence. The findings from the present study suggested that disproportionate exposure to violence for blacks might contribute to disparities in physical injury and long-term mental and physical health.
