Pieters BMA, et al. - This study appraised videolaryngoscopy as a method of potential advantage in the management of patients with a known difficult airway, in the hands of experienced anaesthetists. When used by the experienced anaesthetist, videolaryngoscopy demonstrated added value via improving first-time success, the view of the glottis and reducing mucosal trauma.
