Garg P, et al. - Authors performed a systematic review and proportional meta-analysis to assess the efficacy of video assisted anal fistula treatment (VAAFT) in cryptoglandular fistula-in-ano. They identified VAAFT as a safe videoendoscopic method with an overall success rate of 76% (net Proportion Meta-analysis pooled rate). The procedure was beneficial in terms of having minimal risk to incontinence, minimal hospital stay and early return to work.
