Pan PM, et al. - The researchers aimed to predict depressive disorder at follow-up in a community sample of adolescents using reward network-based functional connectivity at baseline. For depressive disorder, aberrant ventral striatum functional connectivity specifically predicted future risk. Moreover, this finding highlighted the need to understand how brain reward networks contributed to youth depression.
