Sun K, et al. - This large retrospective study investigated if venovenous bypass (VVB) during liver transplantation (LT) was related to a lower incidence of posttransplant acute kidney injury (AKI). It was highlighted in findings that in patients with compromised pretransplant renal function, intraoperative VVB utilization was related to a significantly lower incidence of posttransplant AKI.
