Lam NN, et al. - This study focused on the risk and complications of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in kidney transplant recipients. Findings reported a sevenfold higher risk of VTE in kidney transplant recipients vs. general population. Importantly, it was observed that VTE in this patient population conferred an increased risk of death and graft loss.
