Vasitis nodosa and related lesions: A modern immunohistochemical staining profile with special emphasis on novel diagnostic dilemmas
Human Pathology Dec 20, 2017
Kezlarian BE, et al. - This study encompassed an immunohistochemical analysis of the vasitis nodosa and related lesions with focus on diagnostic dilemmas. It was observed that the proliferative vasitis nodosa glands frequently displayed a prostate cancer-like staining pattern with variable alpha-methyl-acyl-coA-racemase (AMACR) positivity and negative or patchy p63. Nevertheless, reliable positivity for PAX8, patchy GATA3, and negative staining for PSA, NKX3.1, and prostein assisted in differentiating from prostate cancer and tubular variants of bladder cancer.
