Vascularized jejunal mesenteric lymph node transfer: a novel surgical treatment for extremity lymphedema
Journal of the American College of Surgeons Aug 19, 2017
Coriddi M et al. – In this study, authors proposed jejunal mesentery as a novel donor site for vascularized lymph node transfer (VLNT). The authors concluded that jejunal mesenteric is an excellent option for lymphedema as it showed easy concealing of scars and no risk of donor site lymphedema or nerve damage. In addition, there was an optimal harvest from the periphery of the proximal jejunum and improvement from lymphedema can be expected in majority of the patients.
