Vascularized bone graft to the lunate combined with temporary scaphocapitate fixation for treatment of stage III Kienbock disease: A report of the results, a minimum of 2 years after surgery

Matsumoto T, et al. - The authors aimed to assess a minimum of 2 years outcomes in subjects having stage III Kienbock disease treated by vascularized bone graft (VBG) followed by temporary scaphocapitate (SC) fixation. Greater grip strength (GS), pain relief, and functional improvement were provided by the vascularized bone graft combined with SC fixation for 4 months, compared with before surgery in both stages IIIA and IIIB groups.
