In nonpreemptive living donor kidney transplantation, longer pretransplantation dialysis exposure was found to be related to increased risk for allograft failure. Furthermore, an association was observed between pretransplantation dialysis exposure and recipients’ sociodemographic and transplantation centers’ characteristics.
