Value of normalized apparent diffusion coefficients in differentiating between borderline and malignant epithelial ovarian tumors
European Journal of Radiology Aug 27, 2019
Lu J, Pi S, Ma FH, et al. - In this retrospective analysis, researchers compared normalized apparent diffusion coefficients (nADCs) of different references with ADCs at different b factors with respect to diagnostic performance for distinguishing borderline epithelial ovarian tumors (BEOTs) from malignant epithelial ovarian tumors (MEOTs). A total of 53 BEOTs and 148 MEOTs were included. Findings revealed the capability of both ADCtumor and nADCs for distinguishing BEOTs from MEOTs. Among all nADCs, nADCurine was the best. Furthermore, the superiority of nADCurine over ADCtumor was indicated by its stable performance in distinguishing BEOTs from MEOTs, irrespective of b factors.
