Validity and reproducibility of a short food frequency questionnaire among patients with chronic kidney disease
BMC Nephrology Sep 20, 2017
Affret A, et al. - This study entailed the creation as well assessment of the validity and reproducibility of a new short 49-item food frequency questionnaire (SFFQ) adapted to patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). With acceptable validity and reproducibility, notably for CKD nutrients of importance, the CKD-REIN SFFQ was recommended to be used in large-scale epidemiological studies to easily assess the relations between diet and CKD outcomes as well as in clinical routine. Additionally, it may also serve as a basis for the development of Food Frequency Questionnaires (FFQs) in international CKD cohort networks.
