OÂSullivan D, et al. - The experts embraced this study to validate the 4AT and 6-Item Cognitive Impairment Test (6-CIT) for Emergency Department (ED) dementia and delirium screening. In older ED attendees, 6-CIT and 4AT accurately excluded delirium and dementia. 6-CIT did not require collateral history but had lower positive predictive value (PPV) for delirium.
