Validation and reference values for three-dimensional echocardiographic right ventricular volumetry in children: A multicenter study
Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography Jun 29, 2018
Laser KT, et al. - In this multicenter study, the researchers intended to validate new evaluation software for real-time three-dimensional echocardiography (RT3DE) as well as established pediatric reference values. They determined right ventricular (RV) end-diastolic volume (EDV) and end-systolic volume (ESV) from real-time three-dimensional echocardiographic data sets of 38 subjects for validation. According to the findings obtained, RT3DE yielded accurate and reproducible RV volumes. The outcomes suggested that the calculated percentile curves might facilitate the clinical use of RT3DE to analyze RV function in children.
