Wong E, et al. - Authors evaluated the narrow band imaging to determine its utility in objectifying mucosal edema. They identified the areas of edematous mucosa under traditional white light endoscopy. Edematous mucosa can be differentiated from the normal one by narrow band imaging (NBI). Research efforts could be assisted and a more sensitive tool for subtle mucosal inflammatory changes could be provided by the potential for an objective measure of mucosal edema.
