Utility of diffusion-weighted imaging for guiding clinical management of patients with kidney transplant: A prospective study

Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Feb 20, 2020

Ni X, Wang W, Li X, et al. - Experts sought to assess the capability of IVIM-DWI as differentiation of kidney transplant individuals who require clinical intervention from those who need not. A total of 33 kidney transplant individuals who needed clinical intervention and 19 who need not were included in this study. Independent Student's t-test, receiver-operating characteristic curve, and Spearman correlation analysis were performed. The results of this study indicated that diffusion-weighted imaging displayed potential as a noninvasive biomarker to recognize the stratification of individuals into categories in which kidney allograft biopsy outcomes are or are not likely to change clinical management.
