Utility of adjuvant chemotherapy in patients receiving surgery and adjuvant radiotherapy for primary treatment of esthesioneuroblastoma

Miller KC, et al. - By performing a retrospective review of patient records, esthesioneuroblastoma (ENB) patients treated with surgery plus adjuvant radiotherapy (S + AR) alone were compared to patients who underwent S + AR + adjuvant chemotherapy (AC) in terms of survival. Analysis of 38 patients receiving either S + AR or S + AR + AC treatment was done. Outcomes revealed no improved survival in patients who received S + AR + platinum-based AC vs those receiving S + AR alone.
