Pediatric Nephrology Jan 28, 2018
Kilic BD, et al. - The role of uteroglobin (UG) gene G38A polymorphism in childhood idiopathic nephrotic syndrome (INS) was assessed in this study. Researchers also investigated if this variation may be related to the occurrence of INS or a steroid response. A possible crucial role of the uteroglobin gene in the development of INS was suggested. Also, it was noted that in those children, the AA genotype of UG gene G38A polymorphism was more frequent.
