International Journal of Epidemiology Nov 19, 2017
Petersen TG, et al. - This study was performed to investigate whether the use of paracetamol, ibuprofen or aspirin in pregnancy was correlated with increased risk of cerebral palsy (CP) in the child. In children prenatally exposed to paracetamol and aspirin, an increased risk of spastic CP was observed. The possibility of confounding by underlying diseases could not be excluded, although the researchers controlled for several important indications for analgesic use.
