Narain U, et al. - An inquiry was set up with regard to the incidence of urinary tract infection (UTI), predisposing factor and bacterial and fungal etiologies in children with nephrotic syndrome. The significance of UTI in children was underscored in this research. Since steroid therapy was anti-inflammatory and could mask the symptoms of UTI, it could be underdiagnosed in children with nephrotic syndrome.
