Urinary fibrinogen as a predictor of progression of CKD

Wang H, et al. - In this study, patients with CKD were assessed for urinary fibrinogen levels and associations with kidney histology and progression to ESRD. Findings demonstrated a correlation of urinary fibrinogen with interstitial fibrosis and tubular atrophy. Furthermore, urinary fibrinogen was identified as an independent risk factor for progression of CKD to ESRD.
