Upregulation of microRNA-135b and microRNA-182 promotes chemoresistance of colorectal cancer by targeting ST6GALNAC2 via PI3K/AKT pathway

Molecular Carcinogenesis Aug 25, 2017

Liu B, et al. – Researchers examined whether miR–135b and miR–182 modulated 5–fluorouracil (5–FU) chemoresistance of colorectal cancer (CRC) by targeting ST6GALNAC2 via phosphoinositide–3 kinase (PI3K)/AKT pathway. In view of the results, they suggested that miR–135b and miR–182 seemed to reverse the resistance to 5–FU in CRC cells by targeting ST6GALNAC2 via PI3K/AKT pathway. This rendered potential chemotherapy targets for the treatment of CRC.
