Updated estimates suggest a much higher prevalence of arthritis in US adults than previous ones

Jafarzadeh SR, et al. - This study entails estimation of the prevalence of arthritis based on an expansive surveillance definition, that is also adjusted for the measurement errors in the current definition. Findings demonstrated that in the US population, arthritis prevalence has been substantially underestimated, especially among adults <65 years.
