Untreated hypertension as predictor of in-hospital mortality in intracerebral hemorrhage: A multi-center study

Hevesi M, et al. - Few studies have focused on intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) outcomes due to untreated hypertension. In this current study, it was shown that among ICH patients, those with untreated-hypertension were younger and had fewer comorbidities when compared with treated-hypertension and were similar when compared to normotensive individuals. In-hospital mortality following ICH was found to be significantly increased in untreated-hypertension subjects versus normotensive individuals, after accounting for demographic and in-hospital factors.
