Mittakanti HR, et al. - Authors assessed the unplanned medical visits within the early postoperative period following ureteroscopy in subjects with and without ureteral stent placement using California Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) database from 2010-2012. In the early post-operative period, ureteral stent placement during ureteroscopy was not related to increased likelihood of Emergency Department visits and inpatient admissions.
